Amphorae 4

This group of five amphorae have been hand-formed in Porcelain and fired in a wood burning fast fire, with a shino and celadon glaze, hung from stainless steel hooks by linen cord. Each bottle contains a fragment of an antique Barrier Reef Coral.

The general condition of the World’s coral is in a state of crisis, characterised by rapid decline, widespread and unprecedented mass bleaching events. Currently the World is experiencing the fourth and most severe global coral bleaching event on record which began in early 2023.

Dimensions L 24cm, W 8cm, D 6cm for each individual bottle including the coral.
