Cry No More
One of my earliest pieces, this was inspired by the discovery, in a flea market, of a collection of papers belonging to a French doctor living and working near the Atlantic coast in western France in the middle of the 19th Century. The labels are minute extracts from his estate records and letters sent to him from patients in gratitude for his services. This piece evokes a lost and slower way of living. The two hangings are suspended by hemp cord from stainless steel rings.
Dimensions H 114cm, W 36cm, D 15cm (for each of the two hangings, this pieces does not include the beam)
